ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, on Thursday discussed ongoing UN development system reforms and cooperation on Pakistan’s sustainable development priorities during a meeting with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative for Pakistan, Sam Rizk.
In a post on X, the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN said the two sides exchanged views on priority issues related to UNDP's engagement in Pakistan.
During the courtesy call, discussions also focused on "ongoing UN development system reforms, and avenues for continued cooperation in support of Pakistan’s sustainable development priorities", the post said.
Rizk was accompanied by Doina Munteanu, Advisor for Countries in Crisis and Complex Situations.
