Pakistan FM discusses Middle East situation with Japanese counterpart

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East and the broader region, his office said on Monday.

 

During the call, both leaders exchanged views on regional developments and underscored the urgent need for de-escalation to maintain peace and stability.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and promoting lasting peace through dialogue and diplomacy.

 

Foreign Minister Motegi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating diplomatic engagement and efforts toward regional stability.

 

The two leaders also agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
