Frescoes, calligraphy, and four centuries of faith: Masjid Wazir Khan can be called the soul of Lahore

Built in 1634-1635 by Wazir Khan, the physician-turned-governor of Lahore, Masjid Wazir Khan was commissioned to be an ornament of perfection in an imperfect world.

Nearly 400 years later, it still is. Step inside and the chaos of old Lahore vanishes, replaced by intricate frescoes, Persian calligraphy, and geometry that has absorbed the prayers of the faithful for centuries.
