ISLAMABAD: Jordan&#39;s King Abdullah II will arrive in Pakistan on Saturday for a two-day state visit focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, Pakistan&#39;s Foreign Ministry announced Friday. The visit will take place on Nov. 15-16 at the invitation of Pakistan&rsquo;s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. King Abdullah will hold meetings with Pakistan&#39;s President Asif Ali Zardari and PM Sharif. The discussions will cover bilateral relations between the two countries. Pakistan will award him its highest civilian honor during a ceremony at the presidential palace, Aiwan-e-Sadr. The Foreign Office said the visit would strengthen political, economic, and cultural cooperation between the countries. Pakistan and Jordan have maintained diplomatic ties since Pakistan&#39;s independence in 1947, with both countries sharing cultural and religious bonds as Muslim-majority nations. The countries have historically cooperated on regional security issues and maintained modest trade relations.
