ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, said an official statement issued on Monday. The meeting, which comes on the sidelines of the ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII9), took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere, where both leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, including trade, investment, and enhanced cooperation across various sectors, according to the Prime Minister&#39;s Office (PMO). The prime minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and other senior members of the cabinet. The two sides discussed a range of proposals aimed at taking Pakistan-Saudi Arabia economic cooperation to new heights, while also reviewing the overall regional situation, the statement said. A joint statement is expected soon, outlining key agreements and new initiatives to strengthen bilateral collaboration, it added. PM Sharif is on a three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia to attend the ninth Future Investment Initiative.
