ISLAMABAD: United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned Iran of blowing up their country if they made any attempt to assassinate them during an interview with US-based media outlet News Nation. The president responded to a question regarding the &ldquo;assassination threat&rdquo; issued against him. &ldquo;Well, they shouldn&#39;t be doing it, but I&#39;ve left notification that if anything ever happens, we&#39;re going to blow the whole country,&rdquo; he added. &ldquo;I would absolutely hit them so hard, but I have very firm instructions that if anything happens, they&#39;re going to wipe them off the face of this earth,&rdquo; he added. Lately, ever since the commencement of the economic-induced protests in Iran, Tehran and Washington, DC, have undergone a series of fierce verbal rhetorical clashes. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned the United States that Tehran will be &ldquo;firing back with everything we have if we come under renewed attack,&rdquo; a day after President Donald Trump reiterated threats against the Middle Eastern country, according to Al Jazeera.&nbsp; Araghchi&rsquo;s comments came a day after Trump repeated a warning that Iran would be wiped &ldquo;off the face of this earth&rdquo; if it ever succeeded in assassinating the US leader. Earlier, in response to any threats facing Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian General Abolfazl Shekarchi was quoted as saying Trump already knew Tehran would not hold back if the tables were turned, Al Jazeera reported.&nbsp; &ldquo;Trump knows that if a hand of aggression is extended toward our leader, we will not only sever that hand, and this is not a mere slogan,&rdquo; Iranian state media reported, quoting Shekarchi. &ldquo;But we will set their world on fire and leave them no safe haven in the region.&rdquo;
