ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed 19 "Fitna al Khwarij" (Indian-funded terrorist group) in three separate clashes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday.

The military's media affairs wing said that forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Guluno in Mohmand District.

"During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, fourteen Indian sponsored khwarij were sent to hell," ISPR said.

Separately, another intelligence-led operation was carried out in the general area of Datta Khel, North Waziristan District. During the ensuing fire exchange, four more terrorists were neutralized by security forces, it said.

"In another encounter that took place in Bannu District, one more Khwarij was neutralized by the security forces," the statement said, adding that weapons and ammunition were also recovered.

According to ISPR, the terrorists were actively involved in numerous activities in these areas.

"Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other kharji found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country," it added.
